Funeral costs can vary quite considerably, depending on many factors, such as the type of coffin chosen, the venue for the burial or cremation service or how many people are to be catered for if there is to be a funeral tea.

Every funeral we arrange is unique and it’s the choices that you make that will determine the final cost of the funeral. We'll guide you through the choices available to you and, if required, can provide a clear, written estimate of how much the funeral will cost based on the arrangements you’ve chosen. 

When arranging a funeral, there are a number of choices to be made which make up the final cost. For example, you will need to choose between burial or cremation, the type of coffin, family transportation,
funeral flowers and catering on the day, and so on.

Services that we provide. These are the things that make up the cost of the funeral: 

  • Funeral Director services to cover all aspects of the funeral arrangement. 
  • This includes personal supervision of all the arrangements before, during and after the service, liaison with third parties, such as clergy, crematorium, cemetery, florists and catering, use of the restroom facilities, preparing and attending to all essential documentation and provision of all necessary funeral personnel to provide the dignified and personal service we pride ourselves on. 
  • Caring for the deceased, bringing the person into our care, preparation and presentation of the deceased.  
  • Provision of a hearse and all necessary personnel. 
  • The coffin or casket which will be fully lined and fitted. 
  • Extras such as family cars, funeral catering and flowers.

Funeral costs generally range from £3,250 to in excess of £5,000, depending on what has been requested. Our Simple Funeral 

We appreciate that not everyone wants to have a traditional funeral

service and we now offer a simple funeral at minimal cost. 

Our Simple Funeral includes the following services 


 

  • Funeral Director's advice and attendance to all necessary arrangements, documentation and liaison with all necessary parties. 
  • Removal from the place of death (within a 10 mile radius) to our restrooms. 
  • Preparation and presentation of the deceased, including dressing and coffining.
  • Family viewing at our Inverurie or Insch restrooms during office hours. 
  • Supplying a simple veneered coffin.
  • Conveyance, by hearse, to a local cemetery or crematorium at a day and time selected by us.
  • The cost of the Simple Funeral is £2,195 not including third party costs. 

 

Please be aware that this simple service does not include for service

arrangements or for any third party arrangements such as floral

tributes, newspaper notices or funeral catering.


Direct Cremation 


A cremation without a service time or attendance, which includes the removal of the deceased from the place of death (within a 10 mile radius), provision of a simple coffin and conveyance of coffin and deceased to a local crematorium of our choosing. We deal with all necessary documentation, excluding death registration. The ashes can then be collected from either our restrooms or the crematorium. All services provided are within office hours and are to be paid at the time of the funeral arrangement. The cost of Direct Cremation is £1,895.
